Information Technology Services
Livanta provides a disciplined approach to designing, developing, and deploying software. Referred to as the Livanta™ Software Engineering Process (LSP), Livanta’s approach ensures that its software products are developed on predictable schedules and budgets and meet public sector agencies' needs. LSP encapsulates the best practices in software development and is suitable for a wide range of projects. Software best practices are proven approaches to software development that position the software development team to deliver quality software successfully on time and within budget. The LSP is based upon five software best practices:
1. Iterative Software Development
2. Active Requirements Management
3. Architecture-Centric Approach
4. Verify Software Quality
5. Software Change Management
Value Proposition
Livanta’s expertise in software engineering and use of best practices establishes repeatable, measurable, and predictable environments in which mission-critical software systems are developed, giving clients the peace of mind that systems will be delivered on time and within budget.
The Livanta™ Innovation Cloud (LIC) meets vigorous system security requirements of state and federal government contracts to provide an ultra-fast, cloud-based application development hosting infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offering.
Value Proposition
Livanta designed the LIC with security, scalability, and reliability in mind. The long-term operating cost is lower than that of a system with physical hardware investment. In addition, the LIC design assumes redundancy by design, dramatically reducing the likelihood of system downtime.
Livanta has years of experience building web solutions for public sector healthcare agencies. Livanta uses its mastery of web services and web-based automation services for various applications. This includes websites and web applications for public-facing healthcare portals, enterprise dashboards, as well as case management and workflow solutions. Livanta’s engaging website designs leverage 2D/3D design that will captivate clients. Livanta takes advantage of APIs like the Web Graphics Library (WebGL) and Open Graphics Library (OpenGL) to provide an appealing look and feel to Livanta’s developed websites. JavaScript and CSS frameworks like Animate.css, Bounce.js, and Magic Animations are employed to give clients the cleanest look and feel.
Value Proposition
Livanta’s digital expertise providing computer services to public sector agencies at the federal and state-levels and its years of experience building web solutions ensures that clients get solutions that work and are well received by beneficiaries and citizens.
Livanta™ Innovation Cloud
The Livanta™ Innovation Cloud (LIC) is a web-based platform as a service (PaaS) offering that provides ultra-fast application development hosting. The LIC consists of three layers: security, common services, and customer “pods.” The security layer includes web and application firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention services, antivirus, Windows updates, active directory, management, and monitoring services. The common services layer includes physical storage, email, DNS, time server, logging, and backups. Both the security layer and the common services layer are hosted and managed in a centralized environment common to all customer pods. Each customer gets a dedicated pod, which is a collection of servers configured on a separate network.
The LIC is designed with scalability and durability in mind and is cloud-based, so the long-term operating cost is lower than that of a system with physical hardware. In addition, the LIC design assumes redundancy by design, dramatically reducing the likelihood of system downtime.
TEASA
Patients from all walks of life face obstacles with their medical care, especially after a hospital discharge or other transition of care.
The TEASA solution improves health outcomes and decreases health care costs by supporting patients and their caregivers when they are most at risk for adverse outcomes, such as during care transitions or other times that healthcare services must be carefully coordinated. With TEASA, patients can have an improved healthcare navigation experience with easy-to-use technology, access to experts, and secure information sharing.
What is TEASA?

Data Analytics Platform
The Livanta™ Data Analytics Platform (LDAP) is an integrated collection of tools that allows Livanta to mine, assess, infer, and report on a multitude of data sources. Livanta leverages a wide array of data sources from organizations, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state departments of health, and commercial data repositories to establish dynamic data warehouses that offer unique insights into healthcare. Livanta uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and conventional tools to assemble and generate tangible findings quickly.
CompassWeb
Livanta developed the CompassWeb application to support the Medicare Beneficiary and Family Centered Care-Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO) contract to perform reviews of Medicare beneficiary appeals and complaints about healthcare services, as well as reviews of the quality of care and Medicare providers. CompassWeb collects and maintains information about beneficiaries, as well as entities providing healthcare services. CompassWeb records and shares notes from Livanta staff and remote physician reviewers. This application can also compose, send, and store decision letters to providers and beneficiaries and run reports on statistical and other management data.
Robotic Process Automation
Livanta™ Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology consists of application “robots” that automate specific tasks that would normally require manual interaction with web-based applications. Livanta’s RPA applications integrate directly with a web browser and add functionality to existing web-based applications to automate repetitive tasks as well as provide additional custom functionality that is not currently present in the web application.
Trustfolio™ ERP
Trustfolio™ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system consists of a tightly integrated portfolio of software applications hosted in a central environment, using a central database, and designed to automate business processes. The business applications portfolio includes human resources, accounting, proposal pricing, project budgeting, contract management, and analytics and reporting.
The Trustfolio™ ERP includes two-way integration with QuickBooks using a middleware component called the Accounting System Broker (ASB). The ASB currently supports QuickBooks and is designed to connect to additional accounting systems in the future. Trustfolio™ uses the Workuments software applications to support human resources functions.
Case Management
Livanta’s Case Management System (LCMS), part of the Zuilder suite of products, is used for all software projects at Livanta. LCMS is a low-code/no-code platform limiting development to only what is needed to support the customer’s data requirements, workflows, user roles, and specific forms and reports. LCMS is configured for several health and human services use cases and includes a myriad of features and functions.
The system has dashboards configurable at both user and management levels. User dashboards, such as the one pictured above, provide task- and schedule-based information to assist with daily work. Users can configure management-level dashboards to support trending and demographic analysis across multiple business units.
The system has configurable workflows to support case management activities, including intake and investigation workflows. These workflows incorporate Artificial Intelligence through IBM Watson to identify abuse allegations from an intake narrative. The system supports forms automation. These forms can include context-sensitive sections, in which additional parts of the form are presented based upon the answers to questions within the form.
